- 1/2 cup (120 ml) flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) almond slivers

Instructions
- Prepare the baking workspace by lining a 9×9″ dish with parchment paper and heating the oven to 350°F.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
- Using an electric mixer, cream softened butter with brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture, blending until smooth.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined to avoid overmixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips, half of the coconut flakes, and half of the almond slivers.
- Transfer the cookie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly with a spatula. Garnish the top with remaining chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and almond slivers.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes until edges turn golden and center is set, keeping in mind the bars will continue to firm up after removing from the oven.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before lifting out the parchment and slicing into 12-16 rectangular pieces.
