Description

Zesty Spicy Margarita brings Mexican cocktail magic to your home bar with a fiery twist. Jalapeño-infused tequila and fresh lime create a bold, tantalizing drink that sparks conversation and delights senses with each spicy sip.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Spirits:

  • 2 ounces (60 ml) blanco tequila

Citrus and Flavor Enhancers:

  • 2 limes, juiced (4 tablespoons or 60 ml)
  • 23 jalapeno slices, seeded

Sweeteners and Liqueurs:

  • 1/2 ounce (15 ml) triple sec
  • 1/2 ounce (15 ml) agave syrup

Garnishes:

  • Tajin
  • Chamoy
  • 1 jalapeno ring
  • 1 lime wheel

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass by brushing the rim with chamoy sauce, then carefully dip the rim into Tajin seasoning for a spicy, tangy coating.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, gently crush fresh jalapeno slices to release their vibrant, peppery essence and infuse the drink with heat.
  3. Pour tequila, triple sec, freshly squeezed lime juice, and simple syrup into the shaker, then add ice and vigorously shake for 10-15 seconds to blend and chill the ingredients.
  4. Strain the cocktail into a glass filled with fresh ice, creating a smooth and well-integrated beverage with a spicy kick.
  5. Finish by garnishing with a lime wedge and a thin jalapeno slice, adding both visual appeal and an extra layer of flavor to the drink.

Notes

  • Adjust spice levels by removing jalapeno seeds for milder heat or keeping them for extra kick.
  • Use fresh lime juice for brighter, more vibrant flavor compared to bottled alternatives.
  • Consider infusing tequila with jalapeno in advance for deeper, more integrated spicy notes.
  • Create a non-alcoholic version by replacing tequila with sparkling water or fresh cucumber juice for a refreshing mocktail twist.
